Koh Tao without diving: plan a relaxed island day

Choose the kind of day you want

You do not need to scuba dive to plan a Koh Tao visit. The Tourism Authority of Thailand describes boat trips, hiking, yoga and time around the island's beaches as options for non-divers. Its destination highlights include Sairee Beach and Koh Nang Yuan.

Keep the plan simple

Pick one main outing and leave the rest of the day flexible. A useful starting question is whether you want to stay ashore or spend time on a boat. Ask your accommodation about a suitable route and return transport before setting off. Do not treat a viewpoint photograph as evidence of current trail access.

Check the details that change

For a boat trip or class, confirm the date, meeting point, inclusions and cancellation arrangements directly. Ask about current access conditions before travelling to a beach or viewpoint. This guide does not confirm opening hours, prices or availability.

Make room for a slower option

Keep an alternative near your accommodation if your original plan no longer suits the day. You can enjoy the island without filling every hour or booking the same activities as your travelling companions.
