The combined road-and-boat option
PhuketFerry lists bus-and-ferry and bus-and-speedboat journeys from the Thunglong Lomprayah Office in Krabi to Mae Haad on Koh Tao. This supports a combined land-and-sea route, but the exact itinerary and availability must be checked for your date.
Your starting point matters
Krabi town, Ao Nang and Krabi Airport are different places. Confirm whether collection from your accommodation is included or whether you need to reach the office yourself. If arriving by air, ask which onward departure is realistic after baggage collection and the transfer.
Compare a flight via Samui
Bangkok Airways lists Krabi–Samui in its route offers. Compare this with the road-and-boat option using the whole journey, including Samui airport transfer and ferry. Book only after checking the connection; leave space for an overnight stay if the flight cannot meet the sailing.
